Paul McCartney: un nuovo singolo con The Justice Collective

Paul McCartney parteciperà insieme ad altri artisti al brano "He Is not Heavy, He's My Brother" a favore delle famiglie della tragedia di Hillsborough. Sir Paul sarà in buona compagnia di artisti come Robbie Williams, Rebecca Ferguson, Paloma Faith, Eliza Doolittle, Beverley Knight, Melanie C, Andy Brown (Lawson), Holly Johnson (Frankie Goes to Hollywood), Mick Jones (The Clash), Peter Hooton (The Farm), (The Justice Tonight band), Chris Sharrock (Beady Eye / Oasis), Glen Tilbrook (Squeeze), Ren Harvieu, Dave McCabe (The Zutons), Paul Heaton (Beautiful South), Hollie Cook, Jon McClure (Reverend & The Makers), John Power (Cast) e Gerry Marsden (Gerry and the Pacemakers). Il disastro di Hillsborough si verificò durante la partita tra le squadre di calcio Liverpool FC e Nottingham Forest il 15 aprile 1989 allo stadio di Hillsborough. L'evento finì purtroppo in tragedia e causò la morte di 96 persone. Al brano, prodotto da Guy Chambers, tutti gli artisti hanno contribuito alla registrazione del brano gratuitamente e tutti i proventi delle vendite del singolo andranno a copertura dei costi legali delle famiglie del disastro di Hillsborough nella lotta per la giustizia.
"He Ain’t Heavy, He’s My Brother" uscirà il 17 dicembre.

Già in precedenza, nello stesso anno del disastro, artisti di Liverpool come Paul McCartney, The Christians, Holly Johnson, Gerry Marsden e Stock Aitken Waterman, avevano inciso la canzone "Ferry 'Cross The Mersey" a favore delle famiglie delle vittime. Il singolo andò al 1 ° posto nella UK Singles Chart.
